Profile
As Head of Academic Services I have responsibility for leading services and developments covering the provision of education support to academic staff and students, e-learning, learning resources, languages and additional learning needs. I co-ordinate and support the engagement of Schools and Professional Services with the Releasing Potential Framework, a major change initiative currently taking place across the University.
My research interests centre on diffusion of innovation, implementing strategy in universities and perceptions of academic identity. I am currently leading a JISC-funded project PDP4XL2, which is exploring the role of personal development planning (PDP) in the creative industries and health areas. The project is examining student and employer perceptions of PDP and lifelong learning e-portfolios and the protocols necessary to transfer PDP data between institutional portfolio systems.
