Current Teaching Commitments:
• Currently teaching as unit leader of Human Anatomy & Physiology (FS ¼, level C), Forensic Biochemistry (FS 2/3, Level I), Forensic Biomolecules (FS 2/5, level I).
• Also teaching Master students the Forensic Sciences and Analytical skills (FBS 3, level M).

Molecular Biology and Biochemistry
Grants:
• Mick Tuite, Wei-Jun Liang & Fritz Mühlschlegel - £21,070 from BBSRC for a China Partnering Award (Project 20888, Period of Grant: 01-06-2004 to 31-05-2008) entitled “A UK-China Partnership in Predictive Biology as Applied to Fungal Systems”.
• Co-Applicant with Dr Simon M Jarvis, MRC ROPA award, £71,307 (Ref: G9901044, Oct.-2001-Oct.2002).

Research Achievements:
• Cloned, expressed and preliminarily characterised a novel human glucuronide transporter gene
• Cloned and expressed human vitamin C transporter genes, hSVCT1 and hSVCT2 (GeneBank: AJ250807 and AJ292318).
• Cloned, expressed and characterised the glucuronide operon of E. coli (gusB and gusC, GeneBank: M14641).
• Over-expressed, purified, reconstituted and characterised the E. coli glucuronide transporter proteins, GusB and GusC.
