Profile

As a sociologist in the field of health and social care, I have taught sociology to health and social care professionals for many years. In research my special field is qualitative inquiry. I now work part-time as visiting professor in the School of Health & Social Care and lead (with Todres) the Centre for Qualitative Research. I have been involved in a number of research projects and play an active role in the supervision of PhD students, many of whom have now completed. Having written extensively in the field of qualitative research, I am the author and co-author of several books, some of which have been translated into languages other than English.
