Your Right to Access Personal Data

The University must provide you with any personal data it holds about you either electronically or as part of a relevant filing system.

Requests for Information

If you wish to access your personal information you may make a request in writing using our Subject Access Request Form or by emailing the information officer.

The University will meet your request within 40 days, providing no further clarification is needed.

For further guidance see the leaflet Guide to accessing information held by Bournemouth University (PDF 57kb).

Fees

The fee for a Subject Access Request is £10 and should be submitted with your request.

Exam Scripts

Requests for copies of your exam scripts can be made direct to your Programme Administrator. You should make your request in writing, providing as much information about your exam as possible and enclosing the £10 Access fee.

If you wish to access your exam script for a tutorial and do not wish to retain a copy, this can normally be arranged for no fee providing that the script is not taken away from the University.
