Staff Erasmus funding 2011-12

BU is committed to fostering a global outlook. As a member of staff (either academic or Professional Services) you are encouraged to engage in international activities which will help you to develop as global citizens, develop your cultural awareness and create an environment which is supportive of internationalisation.

BU is once again participating in the EU funded Erasmus Mobility Programme which provides financial support towards student and staff visits to BU partner institutions or enterprises in Europe. During 2010-11, 14 members of staff participated in teaching visits, BU supported 1 incoming member of staff from an enterprise and 4 members of staff participated in training visits.

The Erasmus funding is coordinated by Deborah Velay who is the institutional Erasmus Coordinator for BU. The amount awarded to BU for staff visits in 2011-12 is:

  • Staff teaching assignments - €19,010
  • Staff training assignments - €4,340

This funding is limited and will need to be shared out across all Schools / Professional Services. To ensure that this process is carried out fairly, interested staff need to submit bids for the funding.

Apply for funding:
Please complete the Erasmus bid form electronically, then have this signed as appropriate and submit this to Deborah Velay in D234, Dorset House, Talbot Campus.

Deadline:
The deadline for submission of the bid is Friday 28 October 2011.
