Hotels

The University has recruited a number of local hotels and guest houses to create hostel-type living.

This accommodation is within a five mile radius of the University, mostly close to shops, buses and entertainment facilities.

  • Offer bed, breakfast and evening meal
  • Groups of between four and 40 first year students together
  • All within four to five miles of the University
  • Suitable study facilities in a study-bedroom or quiet room (usually the dining room in smaller hotels)
  • Regular room cleaning
  • Use of iron and ironing board
  • Details of any deductions made from deposits
  • You may be required to sign a Licence to Occupy similar to residences.

NB: Some students may be required to share a twin room.

You will be expected to stay a minimum period of one term, and you should not accept a hotel place if you are looking for short term accommodation.

Short-term accommodation is available (for one or two nights) in local hotels for visitors attending Open Days or interviews, or if you require short term accommodation.
