Internet ConnectionThe Network Services All bedrooms in Halls of Residence will be equipped with a network socket which uses Ethernet and provides access to the world-wide web. Basic Internet service provision enables you to use e-mail and browse the world-wide web, and is provided to assist with studies, although no course requires internet access within your accommodation. Please note that we are not able to guarantee that certain high band width activities would by supported by the University network ie webcams, large downloads and certain Internet games. Also note that students undertaking paid employment or running a business using on-line services will not be supported by the University network. Internet and IP Telephony services can be suspended where residents are in serious or frequent breach of the Terms and Conditions or Rules of Occupancy. |
