Students are strongly advised to take out insurance on personal property.

Overseas students are advised to insure their possessions before leaving the country.

If you are travelling with valuables such as computers and cameras, make a note of their serial numbers.

You should also keep a record of your credit card numbers.

Always keep money in a safe place, as it may not be possible to insure against its loss or theft.

Students in University-managed accommodation pay a charge with the deposit to cover the cost of contents insurance for the period of residence.
