Please ensure that all communal areas are cleaned on a regular basis.
We recommend that you draw up a weekly cleaning rota involving all members of the house. Particular attention should be given to:
A vacuum cleaner is provided for your use - please empty or replace the dust bag regularly and check for blockages if it stops working.
Vacuum cleaning large items such as paper can easily cause blockages.
Remember also that most freezers need regular defrosting in order to close properly and work efficiently - this involves removing the contents and switching the appliance off until the ice has melted. Be sure to take suitable precautions (bowls, towels etc) to stop water leaking onto the floor.
Your property supervisor will usually visit at least once per term.
You will receive written notice of the visit and we ask you to ensure that the house is clean and tidy for this appointment - houses that give cause for concern will be visited more frequently.
