Procedure for out of Hours Lockouts
< Back to the Unilet Survival Guide
Your keys are valuable – please keep them safe at all times! Keep the unilet tag on as these are coded in case of loss.
Should you get accidentally locked out of your room or lose your keys and need access in the evenings and weekends, please follow this procedure:
- Ask yourself whether you can get by on the couch until the next working day, when the Accommodation Office will be open again
- if not, then telephone Poole House Reception on 01202 524111 to inform them that you are
coming in. Please be courteous to our staff who are always willing to help. We will be able to arrange for you to borrow the master room key for short term loan until you find/replace your keys. We do not issue master keys for the front door – unless there are very exceptional circumstances
- Bring your Student ID card, or other identification such as a passport or driving
licence.
- Security staff are able to assist, but please be aware that they will only visit the
Accommodation Office to collect spare keys as part of their normal patrol of the Campus. You must therefore be patient. You may have to wait anything up to an hour for the patrol to return to Poole House.
