There have been many successful alumni events and reunions in recent years. Here's a selection of the best:
Bournemouth - November 2008
While getting back in touch with our pre-1992 alumni, we realised that many of our graduates never got the chance to take part in the kind of awards ceremony we have today. So, we decided to give them the chance to do so today.
Ten graduates of the 1960s and 1970s put on their gowns and robes before having their academic career with us re-affirmed and their ongoing friendship with BU acknowledged by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Paul Curran.
Taking part alongside the graduation of this year's students, this was a special day for all involved - and a fitting way to show how BU appreciates its former students.
Bournemouth - October 2008
Aimed at students of Tourism, Hospitality and Catering courses from pre-1992 days, this event attracted 45 former students of Bournemouth Polytechnic, the Dorset Institute of Higher Education and Bournemouth College of Technology.
Returning to Talbot Campus from across the UK - or from New York in two cases - our alumni were taken through the changes at BU by Senior Lecturer Derek Robbins of Services Management, before enjoying a tour of the campus.
The event continued late into the evening, with a Buck's Fizz reception in Poole House Atrium, a hot buffet dinner, a 1980s-themed quiz and a DJ and bar in the Loft.
Bangkok - June 2008
This reunion was a big hit with our Thai alumni. Held in Bangkok on 26 June, the reception was attended by over 100 alumni and 15 prospective new students of the University.
Chris Hall, from the School of Services Management, welcomed the alumni with a slideshow of recent developments at BU including the new buildings and our recent league table successes.
London - September 2007
Created by BU graduate Sam Bailey, 'Relight' recreates all the best things about the Old Fire Station.
The first of this series of parties was held in London and attended by over 200 former students - who got to relive the cheesy music of Lollipop and Happy Monday nights past.
At each event there's been a real Old Fire Station DJ spinning the big tunes and, of course, a well-stocked bar.
Relight has gone from strength-to-strength, with regular parties in both London and Bournemouth and a growing following!

Bournemouth - September 2007
Annie's Day was a day of fund-raising, held in the memory of former Bournemouth student Anne Whittall (née Ryden) who died in May 2006 of breast cancer.
Organised by family and friends of Anne, the day of fund-raising included a sponsored walk along Bournemouth's seafront - 10 miles from the Pier to Hengistbury Head and back.
In January 2008, the group was able to present a cheque for over £9000 to Wessex Cancer Trust in the memory of Anne.
Anne founded the now flourishing student netball team in 1972 and some of the funds raised on 'Annie's Day' have also been used to purchase two trophies which have been donated to the University in her name.
London - May 2007
The first in a series of alumni pub nights, which attracted over 50 graduates to the O Bar in London's Soho.
Bournemouth - April 2005
A function held to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Legal Practice Course at BU.
Guests included staff and students of past and present, including Programme Director Nigel Astbury and Dennis Dowding of the Law School who was part of the team who set up the programme in 1994.
Bournemouth - October 1993
The very first BU Alumni Association reunion took place in glorious sunshine on Saturday 16th October 2003.
Graduates got to see the impressive improvements made to the campus since their time and a raffle included prizes of unique Bournemouth University label wine!
