I came to Bournemouth University (BU) having just finished a gap year after doing some travelling.

I chose to do a degree that incorporated environmental and coastal management because I found this particular subject very interesting. I have found the course has covered a broad range of subjects which have greatly expanded my areas of interest.

Aside from the clear academic gain of spending three years at university, I feel the experience has made me a much more rounded and confident person. I have also had a great time at university and have very much enjoyed the social aspects, particularly my active role in the Sub Aqua Club.

I plan to follow a career in the environmental sector but am open minded about which specific job I will do first.
