Fieldwork and laboratory skills are essential components of all our degree courses, providing you with the practical skills necessary for your future career. Six week placements form part of all our degree courses and provide an opportunity for you to gain employment experience. Many of our students find their first jobs as a result of their placement experience.

The typical environmental professional is highly qualified with 90% of respondents educated to at least degree level; almost half have a masters degree, while 5% have a doctorate. (Source: 2009 ENDS Survey of Environmental Professionals).

Nearly 12% of archaeologists hold a Doctorate or post-doctoral qualification, 40% held a Masters degree or higher and 90% of archaeologists held a Bachelors degree or higher.
