Targeting
Aimhigher with BU wants to reach students with the potential for further and higher education who would benefit from aspiration and awareness-raising activities. We work with our partners to target students who meet some or all of our criteria.
BU has selected three main groups for significant outreach activity:
- Students from under-represented groups in higher education, this will include reaching students in Low Participation Neighbourhoods (LPN). We may also use Pupil Premium data once available to enable more focussed targeting from low socio economic backgrounds (NS-SEC 4-7)
- Looked After Children (LAC) and Care Leavers
- Students with a Disability (including students with Specific Learning Difference or Additional Learner Need)

We can provide access to tools which will enable greater targeting by student postcode. Aimhigher with BU also use school postcode and local data as a primary indicator of what can be offered to our target schools.

Aimhigher with BU activity is targeted in line with BU's Access Agreement, although many of our activities can be delivered to whole year groups so please contact us for further information.
