The Schools & Colleges Liaison Team at BU are here to give advice and guidance to your students thinking about going into Higher Education.
Services we offer
Higher Education/Careers Fairs
We attend national Higher Education/Careers Fairs run by UCAS, as well as those run by individual schools and colleges on a regional level.
School and College Visits
The Team visit schools and colleges to deliver presentations or run workshops on a wide range of topics and issues related to HE. These include:
- Personal statements
- Fees and funding
- Bournemouth University and subject specific information
- Student life
We are able to tailor any visit to meet your needs and our staff are available to visit throughout the year.
Experience BU Days
We organise and run tailored visits to BU for individual schools and colleges, which can be requested at any time of year. We combine a general experience of the University with other topics you might want covered, or we can focus your visit around a specific subject at BU.
Subject Insight Days
Throughout the year we organise Subject Insight Days. These events are designed for teachers to bring along groups of students (from different schools or colleges) to get a taste of what it is like to study a certain subject at BU.
Careers Advisers and Teachers Convention
Our successful Careers Advisers and Teachers Convention was held on Tuesday 10 May 2011.The day included an introduction from Student Finance England followed by a number of academic subject area seminars. The date for our 2012 convention is still being confirmed, however if you would like to register your interest for the event please email schoolsliaison@bournemouth.ac.uk.
