Having studied at Bournemouth University for my undergraduate degree, I have had the good fortune to be employed by the University on several short-term contracts. These began during my 2nd year of study, and have continued since graduating in 2008.
The contracts have built upon the knowledge I gained during my degree, with a variety of tasks including desk based work such as GIS and dynamic landscape modelling, fieldwork including invertebrate sampling and vegetation surveys (Extended Phase 1 surveys and CSM), and lab work such as sediment particle size analysis and invertebrate identification.
I have a wide interest in conservation, and as such enjoy the variety of challenges offered as a research assistant at Bournemouth University.
