Motorcycle racing

The Motor Sport Research Group (MSRG) offers a number of exciting opportunities for those individuals and business involved in sponsoring, organising or competing in a wide variety of events.

Existing expertise includes:

  • Sponsorship development and evaluation
  • Motorsport fan characteristics and behaviour
  • Economic impact studies
  • Sport tourism
  • Legal aspects of Motorsport
  • The Physiology and Psychology of Motorsport

The academic staff involved are primarily motorsport enthusiasts and their backgrounds include knowledge of international and national competitions ranging from Formula 1 and MotoGP, British Superbike Championship, British Touring Car Championship, Premier League Speedway and National rallying.

Of particular interest in the potential of research through motorsport into energy efficient fuels and technologies that can transfer to personal transport on the road.
