Guest Lecture by Stuart Alford |
BU's Centre for Legal Studies is pleased to announce a lecture by Stuart Alford, barrister-at-law, entitled, ‘The Trial of Saddam Hussein’.
Stuart's career, includes, from 2001 - 2003, a position with the United Nations as Prosecutor of Serious Crimes in East Timor. Since 2003, Stuart has worked for agencies such as UNICEF and the International Bar Association, and on projects funded by the United Kingdom, Australian and Swedish governments. Stuart is currently chair of the International Bar Association and, in 2005, was one of the barristers on the Foreign Office Training Programme for the judges and prosecutors for the Iraq High Tribunal. He is also a contributor to ‘The Oxford Companion to International Criminal Justice’, due for publication in 2008.
This lecture will take place on Tuesday, 19 February 2008 at 6pm in the Cobham Lecture Theatre, Talbot Campus.
