This section outlines what conferencing and events facilities are available to the general public.

Facilities

The University can offer you a wide range of meeting rooms and lecture theatres. All our lecture theatres have tiered seating and are able to accommodate between 50-254 people. Each lecture theatre is equipped with overhead projector, data projector and screen, white board, Thin Client, video, DVD and cassette players as standard.

Catering and Bars

Our experienced in-house caterers provide an extensive choice of menu options to suit your dietary requirements, tastes and budget. We recognise the importance of catering to the success of an event and constantly strive to ensure excellent quality and service. There is a licensed bar for private hire.

Specific Needs

The University is equipped with facilities for visitors and delegates who have specific requirements including a loop system in all lecture theatres. Some rooms in residential accommodation have been adapted for wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties. The campus offers excellent car parking facilities, including disabled parking spaces, and good access to the buildings.

Sports

The newly extended and refurbished sports complex gives an opportunity to delegates and visitors to utilise the gym facilities. Also available are the two all weather five-a-side pitches, "Hot Rocks" climbing wall and exercise classes including "spinning". Use of all the sports facilities to be agreed by prior arrangement.

The Sports Hall can be transformed into a large conference or exhibition hall.
