One Day Meeting - 18th April 2008
Please note: This event has now passed.
Bournemouth University and The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust have collaborated to provide a varied and topical programme of talks on agriculture and biodiversity. Delegates will hear from ecologists, conservation managers and farmers in a series of short talks. Topics include agri-environment schemes, biomass crops, carbon management, organic farming, and conservation of plants and wildlife in the terrestrial and freshwater habitats of the Wessex landscape. There will also be a chaired discussion and breaks to give people time to make and renew contacts.
A programme is available here and offers of poster presentations or displays are welcome. You can also read a selection of abstracts here.
The meeting will bring conservation practitioners and researchers together in Wessex with a view to collaborative projects and information dissemination. In 2005, the WCF meeting was very well attended, with a broad spectrum of 100 delegates from NGOs, universities and government bodies.
The event will take place at The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust in Fordingbridge and there is no charge to attend this meeting; however spaces are limited to 100. Sandwiches can be ordered at registration (before 10am) or please feel free to bring your own.
To register for this event please complete the booking form.
