Conference Royal Geographical Society Conference, London

Royal Geographical Society Conference, London

The Coastal and Marine Working Group, chaired by Senior Lecturer Dr. Steve Fletcher, convened a full day of sessions within the recent Royal Geographical Society Annual Conference (30 Aug. to 1 Sept. 2006).

The sessions addressed key international issues in coastal and marine management, including: the role of coastal partnerships in delivering integrated coastal zone management (ICZM); recent developments in international coastal and marine policy; and the evolving national coastal management framework in the UK. The Working Group is organising an international coastal management conference for October 2007, which will be held at the National Maritime Museum, London.
