The Centre for Qualitative Research is based at Bournemouth University's The School of Health & Social Care. The School's research strategy is built on a commitment to real world research that is transferable across a variety of contexts. It has considerable expertise in research approaches and programmes that aim to improve the everyday lives of health and social care users.

6th European Qualitative Research Conference in Health and Social Care
September 2006 saw the 6th European Qualitative Research Conference. Held at the Talbot Campus, this event was very popular and the newly-introduced performative theme was extremely well attended.

Fourth collaborative meeting with Växjö University, Sweden

Centre for Qualitative Research wins prestigious AHRC bid
The Centre for Qualitative Research, HSC, has recently received funding from the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) for a project entitled, "Social Science in Search of its Muse: Exploratory Workshops in Arts-related Production and Dissemination of Social Science Data".

A "Performative" Social Science
Kip Jones explores the background of performative social science and outlines the progress so far in establishing the CQR as a hub for the 'performative' in production and diffusion of qualitative data.
