Josh Appignanesi Josh Appignanesi - Director/Writer

London-based filmmaker Josh Appignanesi visited the BU Centre for Qualitative Research in November 2006 and presented several of his short films. This was followed by an open discussion following among the mixed audience of researchers and students from a number of schools. The screenings included:

Ex Memoria Ex Memoria - award winning rising star Natalie Press

Ex Memoria
Commissioned by the Bradford Dementia Group through the Wellcome Trust's ArtSci project, Ex Memoria starred Olivier winning actress Sara Kestelman and award winning rising star Natalie Press (MY SUMMER OF LOVE). Ex Memoria makes us think afresh about memory, aging, care and dementia, encompassing the tragedy and the warmth of one woman's unique story. This 15-minute film was shown at Edinburgh Film Festival 2006.

Nine And A Half Minutes Zoe Telford and David Tennant, the stars of Josh Appignanesi's 2002 short Nine And A Half Minutes

Nine And A Half Minutes
A romantic comedy about two Londoners who meet on a blind date. Too busy to bother getting to know each other, they fantasize a whole relationship – meeting, sex, cohabitation and the break up – in only nine-and-a-half minutes. Award-winning satire on modern sexual mores that twists our expectations of the genre. The innovative script won funding from the Film Council's Digital Cinema Fund and is British Council supported.
