Regulatory Requirements

There are regulatory and legal requirements placed on institutions to support ALN students.

• QAA Code of Practice for Students with Disabilities
  This requires the University to consider the needs of ALN students and to provide equal access to higher education
• The Disability Discrimination Act
  This places a requirement on the University to make "reasonable adjustments" to support ALN students, through the provision of services from the first point of enquiry through to graduation
