Understanding Additional Learning Needs and disabilities

ALN is used as the over-arching term for the students we support, as not all students identify themselves as having a disability. The term ALN can encompass:

• Developmental disorders
• Disabilities
• Medical conditions
• Mental health issues
• Mobility difficulties
• Specific learning difficulties
• Temporary illness or injury affecting study
