Educational Development
The Educational Development pages consist of work which supports the enhancement of learning and teaching throughout the University. This work includes:
- Supporting academics in their educational practice.
- Implementing and supporting myBU, the University's Virtual Learning Environment.
- Leading the HEA funded eRes, Innovative E-learning with E-resources project.
- Promoting the appropriate use of e-learning through resources, communication, assessment and web 2.0 tools.
- Enabling professional development through for the PG Cert in Education Practice (PGCertEP).
- Developing a centre of excellence in pedagogic research through the Centre for Academic Practice (CAP).
- Providing software and equipment to digitise resources and experiment with new and innovative learning technologies.
- Supporting Personal Development Planning (PDP).
- Implementing and supporting the use of the University's plagiarism prevention software.
- Implementing Online Student Unit Evaluation (SUE).
- Acting as a point of contact and working with external agencies such as the Higher Education Academy.
