Educational Development

The Educational Development pages consist of work which supports the enhancement of learning and teaching throughout the University. This work includes:

• Supporting academics in their educational practice.
• Implementing and supporting myBU, the University's Virtual Learning Environment.
• Leading the HEA funded eRes, Innovative E-learning with E-resources project.
• Promoting the appropriate use of e-learning through resources, communication, assessment and web 2.0 tools.
• Enabling professional development through for the PG Cert in Education Practice (PGCertEP).
• Developing a centre of excellence in pedagogic research through the Centre for Academic Practice (CAP).
• Providing software and equipment to digitise resources and experiment with new and innovative learning technologies.
• Supporting Personal Development Planning (PDP).
• Implementing and supporting the use of the University's plagiarism prevention software.
• Implementing Online Student Unit Evaluation (SUE).
• Acting as a point of contact and working with external agencies such as the Higher Education Academy.
