Welcome to the Registry at BU

The University Registry is involved in your journey through University, from initial enquiries and prospectus requests through to graduation and beyond.

We are the central student record office of the University, but have many other functions.

The Registry is responsible for:

  • academic administration in relation to admissions, enrolments, assessments and conferments
    (for undergraduate, postgraduate, full-time and part-time students within these broad areas)
  • maintenance and management of appropriate student records.

We use these centrally held records to generate management information to meet the Executive, School and other Support Service needs as well as for external consumption.

An integral part of these responsibilities is oversight of the administration processes associated with University Regulations, particularly student discipline and complaints as well as examination appeals.

Different aspects of this work are handled by separate groups within Registry, under the overall management of the Registrar, Noel Richardson.
