All tuition fees stated below are for full-time courses.

Undergraduate courses

Tuition fees

For students beginning their studies at BU in September 2011 the annual tuition fee will be confirmed shortly.

The tuition fee for the year during which you work as part of your degree (where relevant) will be confirmed shortly.

As a student from the European Union (EU) you may be eligible for a BU bursary or scholarship.

Postgraduate taught courses

Tuition fees - January 2011

For students beginning their studies at BU in January 2011 the tuition fees depends on the course you will study. The fees ranges from £3,800 - £12,000 per academic year.

Tuition fees - September 2011 / January 2012

For students beginning their studies at BU in September 2011 / January 2012 the tuition fees depends on the course you will study. The fees ranges from £4,250 - £12,000 per academic year.

For students beginning the MBA in September 2011 the tuition fee will be £15,000.

Postgraduate research programmes

Tuition fees

For students beginning their research degree in the academic year 2011/12 the tuition fees range from £4,200 - £4,500 per academic year.

Cost of living

As well as money to pay your tuition fees, you will need enough money for living expenses – the amount will vary depending on your personal lifestyle.

As a guideline, for each calendar year (12 months) you should allow approximately £8,000 for yourself, plus at least an extra £3,500 for your spouse/older child and £2,000 for each young child.

Working in Bournemouth

As Bournemouth is a service sector town it provides plenty of opportunities for part-time, casual work in its range of cafés, restaurants, bars, hotels and shops. Many students supplement their income by finding part-time employment during their time at BU. Of course the amount you will be able to commit to will depend on the demands of your course of study.
