Izumi Hanawa
MSc Tourism and Heritage Management
I came to study at Bournemouth University as it has a very good reputation for Tourism studies and the quality of its teaching
I attended the Pre-Sessional Skills Programme (PSSP). This was a great help in getting me ready for my course because there is huge difference in how education works between the UK and Japan.
My course was in a very new subject but I was very impressed by how it taught us about conserving and developing tourism sites, though it is a very difficult topic. The teachers were always encouraging. It gave me confidence and potential for my future career path.
Bournemouth is a cosy town with a lovely beach where I often went with my friends. We enjoyed eating at many different restaurants and enjoyed films and shows. The New Forest is also a great place to relax and refresh.
After graduating from Bournemouth I started studying a PhD programme in Tourism at Meiji University in Tokyo. I would like to travel all over the world to visit friends who I met in Bournemouth.
If you want to obtain master degree in a year and enjoy life to the full, Bournemouth gives you superb experience and opportunities!
