Emiliana Maduro

BA (Hons) Business Studies

In the summer of 2004 I came to Bournemouth for a couple of days with my friends to relax and have a bit of fun. I was living in Guildford completing my IELTS English course and when I got here I just fell in love with the place, from that moment I really wanted to live and study in Bournemouth.

I applied and was accepted onto the Business Studies course. The personnel at Bournemouth University were very helpful and were always keen to help and facilitate the application process.

My course is not only very interesting but fun!...there are around 200 students doing the same course and the best thing is that you get to know most of them, so you end up with many friends and not only from England but from all around the world.

All the facilities are great and the lecturers are very good too! This is a great experience and I’m loving it! At the moment I am on my 2nd year of the course, and next year I will be moving to London to do my placement year at Warner Bros. After a year of placement I will have to come back to BU to finish the last year of my degree and after my graduation I would love to do a post-graduate course in International Business here.
