English Language Comparison Scores

The tables below compare the total score and component score respectively between IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson Test of English (Academic) and Cambridge Advanced English (CAE). We will use this comparison to ascertain whether you have met the level required for entry to study at BU. The comparison below is a guide based on UK Border Agency’s requirements for Tier 4 Student Visa.

We accept a range of other English language qualifications. These tests are amongst the Secure English Language Tests (SELT) published by UK Border Agency. Please contact the International Admissions Team if you are not sure if your English language qualification is accepted for entry at BU.
