International Students' Orientation Programme (ISOP)

January and February orientation

When you start your course, your school will organise an induction programme to introduce you to all the people you need to know, explain how your course will be structured and tell you what will be expected of you as a BU student.

Included in your course induction will be some sessions to give you information which will be specifically helpful to you as an international student, for example information about immigration and tips on how to adjust to life and culture in the UK.

You will also find out about the International Students' Association who organise social events and parties throughout the year.

In addition, there will be an excursion on a Saturday soon after you arrive to give you the opportunity to meet other students and explore the UK a little. For details of the excursions programme, see the Students' Union at BU (SUBU) website.
