BUPEP

BUPEP - How to Apply

To be eligible to apply for BUPEP, you must already have applied for and received an offer for a BU degree course. You must have met all conditions of the offer (including payment of the deposit) with the exception of the English language requirement.

You will need to complete the relevant application form below and send it back by email, post or fax to the International Pathways Administrator, along with a copy of both your IELTS/TOEFL certificate and your BU degree course offer letter. If you are emailing this form back please read our privacy page.

To secure your place on the programme, you will also need to pay either a £200 deposit, or the full BUPEP tuition fee when you return your Acceptance & Payment Form. Please see the BUPEP tuition fee section below for more information on how to pay.

Accommodation

During Stages 1 and 2 of the Autumn Degree Admission and Spring Degree Admission pathways and Stage 1 of Media School Admission pathway, we can offer host family accommodation through our local providers – this is ideal for practising your English and seeing how families live in the UK!

During Stage 3 of Autumn Degree Admission and Stage 2 of Media School Admission we can provide university residences, or host family (as available). We aim to accommodate all students, but late applications cannot be guaranteed.

You just need to indicate on the application form whether or not you would like us to book accommodation for you.

BUPEP tuition fee

To secure your place on BUPEP you must pay either a £200 deposit or the full tuition fee when you return your Acceptance & Payment Form. Places on BUPEP are limited, late applications cannot be guarenteed a place.

Tuition fees due must be paid in full either before or at enrolment.

If you cannot pay your full BUPEP tuition fee at enrolment then you must set up a Payment Plan. This means that you can pay your fee in two instalments: 50% of the fee at enrolment, and another 50% after 4 weeks. If you wish to pay your tuition fee this way then you must inform the International Pathways Administrator before the programme starts.

Please note that accommodation is not included in the BUPEP tuition fee.

Discount

When you pay the full tuition fee either before or at enrolment then you will be entitled to a 5% discount! (Please note: you are not entitled to the 5% discount if you pay using a Payment Plan.)

How to pay

There are several ways that you can pay your BUPEP tuition fee – the Acceptance & Payment Form has space for you to include your credit card details, or attach a cheque or a banker's draft. You can also pay by bank transfer – Bournemouth University's bank details are also provided on the form. Please note that if you pay by bank transfer then you must include extra money to cover the bank charges.

Please check with the International Pathways Administrator before making any payments, to ensure that you pay the correct amount. Extra amounts of money paid mistakenly could take a considerable time to refund.

It is important that you decide how and when you are going to pay your fees before you arrive at the University. Delays in the payment of your BUPEP tuition fee could mean that you are prevented from continuing your studies.

Bournemouth University rule 8.3

Failure by a student to pay any fees, fines or other monies due to the University, within the time specified for such payment, may result in the student being excluded from the course or denied access to specific University facilities. The student will not be entitled, and may not be permitted, to sit examinations, or to progress to the next stage of the course, or to receive an award or awards (if eligible) at the conclusion of the course, unless outstanding sums due to the University have been paid.

Please note: if no deposit is received before the start of the programme then we cannot guarantee your place on BUPEP.
