Business School Prestige Scholarships

January 2010 entry

This scholarship is offered to students who have applied to study a taught MA/MSc degree at the Business School at BU beginning in January 2010 and who can demonstrate they already have an outstanding academic and personal profile.

We recognise that undertaking a postgraduate course is a considerable investment and we are able to offer a significant financial incentive to successful self-funded applicants wishing to further their careers in finance and management.

This highly competitive scholarship is available to outstanding students who are committed to studying on one of the Business School's full-time or part-time MA/MSc courses.

Which countries must students be a national of to be eligible for this scholarship?

You can apply for this scholarship if you are national of any EU country.

How many scholarships are awarded?

There is no restriction on the number of scholarships that we can award to the candidates who meet all the criteria.

How much is the scholarship worth?

The scholarship is worth £2000 reduction in tuition fee.

How long does the scholarship last for?

The scholarship is for the first year of the taught Masters degrees in the Business School as described in the BU prospectus and the Course Search.

Which courses are covered by the scholarship?

All full-time and part-time MA/MSc degrees offered by the Business School on the BU campus.

Am I eligible to apply for this scholarship?

You must be a national of a country within the EU at the time of application for your course at BU and for fees purposes you must be classified as having the status of an EU student.

If your fees are being paid by a sponsor you cannot apply for this scholarship. Only self-funded students are eligible to apply.

You may also be eligible for a number of other postgraduate scholarships offered at BU.

How do I apply?

You need to apply for the scholarship at the same time you apply for the course.

What factors will be considered in deciding if I am eligible for this scholarship?

You must be able to demonstrate an exceptional academic and personal profile to be considered for this scholarship.

Financial need cannot be taken into consideration.

When is the deadline for applying for this scholarship?

Application forms for this scholarship for courses beginning in January 2010 must be received at BU by 8 January 2010.

When will I hear if I have been successful?

You will be notified with your offer letter if you have been successful in being awarded a scholarship, subject to any conditions of offer that need to be met.

When do I receive the scholarship?

You will need to meet all the conditions of your offer to receive this scholarship.

You will receive the scholarship in the form of a tuition fee reduction when you enrol onto a MA/MSc course in the Business School.
