Business School Excellence Scholarship 2009
January 2010 entry
This scholarship is offered to students who have applied for and been awarded one of the following scholarships in the Business School for January 2010:
- Business School Prestige Scholarship
- The MBA Director’s Scholarship
- Career in Law Progression Scholarship

Which countries must students be a national of to be eligible for this scholarship?
You can apply for this scholarship if you are a national of any country.
How many scholarships are awarded?
Five scholarships are awarded to students beginning their course in either January 2010.
How much is the scholarship worth?
A cheque for £1,000 will be given to the successful applicants at enrolment.
How long does the scholarship last for?
The scholarship is for the first year of the taught postgraduate course as described in the prospectus and the Course Search.
Am I eligible to apply for this scholarship?
You can apply for this scholarship if you are a national of any country.
You have to have applied for and been awarded one of the scholarships offered in the Business School.
How do I apply?
You do not need to formally apply for this scholarship.
You will be automatically considered if you are awarded one of the scholarships offered in the Business School.
What factors will be considered in deciding if I am eligible for this scholarship?
You must be able to demonstrate an exceptional academic and personal profile to be considered for this scholarship.
You must normally have a 1st Class honours degree (or international equivalent) and/or 3 years work experience.
Financial need cannot be taken into consideration.
When is the deadline for applying for this scholarship?
You do not need to formally apply for this scholarship.
All successful Business School scholarship students will be considered for the Business School Excellence Scholarship from:
8 January 2010 for courses beginning in January 2010
When will I hear if I have been successful?
You will be notified within two weeks of the closing date if you have been successful in being awarded the Business School Excellence Scholarship.
When do I receive the scholarship?
You will need to meet all the conditions of your offer to receive this scholarship.
You will receive the scholarship in the form of a cheque when you enrol and your fees have been paid in full on one of the eligible courses.
