The MBA Director’s Scholarship

The Director of the Bournemouth MBA has a number of scholarships to award students who are determined to achieve the very best results on the course.

If you hold a 1st class honours degree (or international equivalent) and/or 3 years' work experience and meet the entry criteria for the Bournemouth MBA, you will be eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Only self-funded students may apply.

Which countries must students be a national of to be eligible for this scholarship?

You can apply for this scholarship if you are a national of any country.

How many scholarships are awarded?

There is no restriction on the number of scholarships that we can award to the candidates who meet all the criteria.

How much is the scholarship worth?

The scholarship is worth £2,000 reduction in tuition fee.

How long does the scholarship last for?

The scholarship is for the first year of the Bournemouth MBA as described in the BU prospectus and on the MBA webpages.

Which courses are covered by the scholarship?

The BU MBA offered on the BU campus (full-time and part-time).

Am I eligible to apply for this scholarship?

You can apply for this scholarship if you are a national of any country.

You are eligible for this scholarship if you are applying for the full-time or part-time MBA course.

If your fees are being paid by a sponsor you cannot apply for this scholarship. Only self-funded students are eligible to apply.

You may also be eligible for a number of other postgraduate scholarships offered at BU.

How do I apply?

You need to formally apply (PDF - 139kb) for this scholarship at the same time you apply for the MBA course.

You will be informed with your offer letter if you have been successful in being awarded a scholarship. subject to any conditions of offer that need to be met.

What factors will be considered in deciding if I am eligible for this scholarship?

You must be able to demonstrate an exceptional academic and personal profile to be considered for this scholarship.

You must hold a 1st class honours degree (or international equivalent) and/or 3 years' work experience.

Financial need cannot be taken into consideration.

When is the deadline for applying for this scholarship?

Application forms for this scholarship for courses beginning in September 2009 must be received at BU by 25 September 2009.

When will I hear if I have been successful?

You will be notified with your offer letter if you have been successful in being awarded a scholarship, subject to any condition of offer being met.

When do I receive the scholarship?

You will need to meet all the conditions of your offer to receive this scholarship.

You will receive the scholarship in the form of a tuition fee reduction when you enrol onto the MBA course.
