Business School Prestige Scholarships

January 2010 entry

This scholarship is offered to students who have applied to study a taught MA/MSc or LLM degree at the Business School at BU beginning in January 2010 and who can demonstrate they already have an outstanding academic and personal profile.

We recognise that undertaking a postgraduate course is a considerable investment and we are able to offer an incentive to successful applicants wishing to further their careers in finance, law and management.

Which countries must students be a national of to be eligible for this scholarship?

You can apply for this scholarship if you are national of any non-EU country.

How many scholarships are awarded?

Twenty-five scholarships are awarded to students beginning their MA/MSc or LLM course in either September 2009 or January 2010.

How much is the scholarship worth?

The scholarship is worth £2,000 reduction in tuition fee.

How long does the scholarship last for?

The scholarship is for the duration of the Masters course as described in the BU prospectus and the Course Search.

Which courses are covered by the scholarship?

All full-time MA/MSc and LLM degrees offered by the Business School on the BU campus.

Am I eligible to apply for this scholarship?

You must be a national of a country outside the EU at the time of application for your course at BU and for fees purposes you must be classified as having the status of an international (non-EU) student.

You may also be eligible for a number of other postgraduate scholarships offered at BU.

How do I apply?

You need to apply for the scholarship at the same time you apply for the course.

What factors will be considered in deciding if I am eligible for this scholarship?

You must be able to demonstrate an exceptional academic and personal profile to be considered for this scholarship.

Financial need cannot be taken into consideration.

When is the deadline for applying for this scholarship?

Application forms for this scholarship for courses beginning in January 2010 must be received at BU by 18 December 2009.

When will I hear if I have been successful?

You will be notified if you have been successful in being awarded this scholarship two weeks after the closing date.

When do I receive the scholarship?

You will need to meet all the conditions of your offer to receive this scholarship.

You will receive the scholarship in the form of a tuition fee reduction when you enrol onto a MA/MSc or LLM course in the Business School.
