Reham al-Farra International Scholarship in Journalism
September 2009 entry - closed for 2009 entrants
This scholarship is offered to students who have applied to study MA Multi-Media Journalism at BU beginning in September 2009. The scholarship is awarded on academic merit and proficiency in English (if English is not your first language).

You can apply for this scholarship if you are a national of any non-EU country.
How many scholarships are awarded?
One scholarship is awarded to a student beginning their course in September 2009.
How much is the scholarship worth?
The scholarship is worth £3,000 reduction in tuition fee.
How long does the scholarship last for?
The scholarship is for the duration of the MA Multi-Media Journalism course as described in the prospectus and the Course Search.
Am I eligible to apply for this scholarship?
You must be a national of a country outside the EU at the time of application for your course at BU and for fees purposes you must be classified as having the status of an international (non-EU) student.
You are only eligible for this scholarship if you are applying for the MA Multi-Media Journalism course.
You may also be eligible for a number of other postgraduate scholarships offered at BU.
How do I apply?
You need to apply for the Reham al-Farra International Scholarship in Journalism after you have received an offer for your course.
You will be sent a scholarship application form with your offer letter which you will need to complete and return with your acceptance form and deposit to the address on the form.
You must hold a conditional or unconditional offer to apply for this scholarship.
What factors will be considered in deciding if I am eligible for this scholarship?
The scholarship is awarded to a student who has achieved an excellent standard in their undergraduate degree, can demonstrate a high level of English proficiency (if English is not their first language) and has provided information which suggests that they are likely to be an asset to the course.
The final decision is based on the information supplied in both your application form for MA Multi-Media Journalism course and the scholarship application form.
Financial need cannot be taken into consideration.
When is the deadline for applying for this scholarship?
Application forms for this scholarship must be received at BU by 31 July 2009.
When will I hear if I have been successful?
You will be notified by 15 August 2009 if you have been successful in being awarded this scholarship.
When do I receive the scholarship?
You will need to meet all the conditions of your offer to receive this scholarship.
You will receive the scholarship in the form of a tuition fee reduction when you enrol on the MA Multi-Media Journalism.
