Joanna Jasinska chose BU because of the good reputation of her degree:

The structure of the degree impressed me and I knew straight away that the content was appropriate for my interests and what I wanted to do in the future.

There are dedicated facilities to help postgraduates. Joanna says: "The facilities for postgraduate students are very good. What I like most is that there is easy access to e-resources - even in the middle of the night! It's for this reason that it was possible for me to write my dissertation from home."

Joanna's decision to study at BU was confirmed by the warm welcome she received even from her very first enquiry. "I wanted to ask some questions about the degree just to make sure it was suitable. The staff went out of their way to help. It's this hospitality that makes BU a very friendly environment to study in."

"As a town, Bournemouth is a great place because of its vibrancy and the fact that there are people from so many different nations studying here,"Joanna says. "BU has turned out to be a great place for networking and making friends from different backgrounds."

When she graduates, Joanna plans to move back to Poland and work in meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions tourism. She is sure that her BU experience will benefit her career because of the practical experience she has gained on her degree.

She adds: "I've learnt a lot from my fellow students concerning differences in cultures, and this has prepared me for working in a multicultural environment."
