Supriya Sharma
MSc Tourism and Hospitality Manangement
Supriya always wanted to gain an international perspective and study abroad, not only to strengthen her career prospects, but also for personal development. She chose BU because of its excellent reputation as a leading provider of industry-relevant education, and the opportunity to study the perfect course.
She is enjoying the social aspect of university: “As for non-academic lifestyle, there are a lot of different things that I do. I am a member of the dance club at sportBU and I also attend BU Global Cafe which is held every Wednesday - students from different cultural backgrounds get together for tea/coffee followed by Global Cinema - movies from different countries.”
Bournemouth also has beautiful beaches, which offers various activities such as, rowing, surfing, beach volleyball, etc. I consider myself very fortunate for getting an opportunity to study at Bournemouth University.
The opportunity to study with students from different cultures is also important to Supriya: “There are many students from different cultures on my course and I am glad to get the chance to be involved in this mixed cultural environment.”
Supriya reflects on her time at BU and is confident she made the right choice: “attending the course here is not just about learning academically but it is fun with learning and I am certain that my experiences here will help me in my future work-related goals.”
