School of Health & Social Care
Lansdowne Campus
We have been an important contributor to education and research in health and social care since 1992. We have major contracts with the National Health Service (NHS) to educate a variety of health professionals in Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and have won numerous awards for our Post-Qualifying Social Work (PQSW) provision, which is now also offered at Masters level.
Five reasons to study at the School of Health & Social Care:
- Excellent links with local health and social care users and providers, ensuring our courses are relevant to the needs of practice
- A strong research profile, supported by on-going activities in our six Research Centres
- Our excellent reputation, highlighted by winning awards such as the 'Skills for Care Accolade for Best Involver of Service Users/Carers for Adults' in Social Work
- Interprofessional learning is a key element of all our courses
- We offer a student-focused, supportive learning environment with highly skilled academic staff.
