Being able to demonstrate all the skills needed to secure your fi rst job can be difficult but the final year project at BU is designed to show off all of your skills. A well-rounded individual with the ability to hit the ground running is what most employees want from a design graduate and they are harder to fi nd than you might think. With hard work, this course gives you that opportunity.
After seven years with Morphy Richards I have designed several products that thousands of people around the world use on a day-to-day basis. This has always been my motivation for becoming a designer. Over the years I have been lucky enough to have travelled extensively around the world visiting suppliers and customers. After three years leading the fl oor care design team, I was recently promoted to Design & Innovation Manager for all of Morphy Richards product portfolio. This is a huge challenge but one that I relish. Who knows what technology or ideas are around the corner but I certainly look forward to fi nding out and using them to make everyone’s lives that little bit easier in the future.
BU was where it all began for me and I look back on my time there with very fond memories. I hope in years to come you can too.
