Eugene (Jevegenij) Nikolajev
BA (Hons) Marketing
Thoughts about BU:
A combination of the University's overall performances in recent years and our Marketing course's individual ranking helped Eugene Nikolajev choose BU as the place to study.
"Bournemouth University has been positive, friendly and atmospheric so far," Eugene says. "The people are supportive and outgoing."
"The best thing about living in Bournemouth and Poole is the location by the sea, with all the social activities available - pubs, clubs, leisure clubs, hotels and shops."
The quality of education and the learning resources available have impressed Eugene, too. "When I graduate, I want to start a career in marketing," he says. "I want to find a really good job. I've enjoyed my course because I am looking forward to my career, and this course gives me relevant skills and knowledge."
Of the learning resources, he comments: "They're perfect - up-to-date, and convenient as they are available 24/7 with open access. The academic staff are very supportive. I have contacted my tutors and they have helped me - they can easily come up with advice."
In his first year, Eugene lived in a UNILET property - a shared house that is managed by the University. "I have been living in a UNILET with five other people," he says. "It's been a good experience - we get on really well and have become friends."
So, what would Eugene say to potential students considering BU as a place to study? "I'd say definitely come here!" he says. "Without a doubt, BU is a great choice!"
