Open Days
We encourage you to visit Bournemouth University for yourself - to experience university life, get a feel for the area and find out about whether a course would be suited to you. You can come to an Open Day, take a Campus or Virtual Tour or alternatively speak to us at one of the many exhibitions and Higher Education fairs we attend throughout the year both in the UK and overseas.
Please note: if you are intending to bring more than five visitors to the event, please contact the askBU Enquiry Service to make your booking.
University Open Days
University open days are ideal for students who are considering a range of courses. Experience BU as a whole; attend talks by staff from all our Academic Schools and meet students and representatives from finance and accommodation. We'll show you round the campuses, including a view inside our student accommodation and the Bournemouth area.
Academic School Days
Academic school days are ideal if you know the subject area you are interested in. These weekday afternoon events will give you a valuable insight into the Academic School you would be studying in. You can attend course talks and ask questions, learn about financing your degree and our accommodation options. You can take a campus tour to view our facilities including our on-campus accommodation.
Partner Colleges Open Afternoons
The University works in partnership with local partner colleges across the South West of England to provide opportunities for study, either at locations near to your home or to provide specialist courses not widely available on a national basis.
Self-guided Tours of Talbot Campus
We offer an open campus policy during working hours at our Talbot Campus whereby you can take a self-guided tour. You can collect the self-guided tour from Poole House Reception when you arrive, or download the booklet (PDF - 2mb) and bring it with you. For information on travelling to Bournemouth University campuses please see our transport and maps pages.
Exhibitions
We regularly attend overseas exhibitions and Higher Education fairs around the UK to meet prospective students.
Overseas Activities
BU makes many visits overseas each year in order to attend education exhibitions, visit our partner institutions, deliver guest lectures and subject specific seminars and to hold student interviews.
Virtual Tour
If you can't visit us in person, our Virtual Tour online facility is the next best thing. See 360 degree views of each Campus, the Library and our accommodation.
