Lansdowne Campus locations

This campus houses our Institute of Health and Community Studies and serves as the centre of postgraduate study for the Business School. Other academic schools also use the buildings on the Christchurch Road.

Cranborne House entrance

Cranborne House is one of our largest halls of residence. It accommodates around 500 students and is only a short walk away from the town centre and beach.

A typical room in Cranborne House has en-suite bathroom and desk area complete with high speed internet connection.

Purbeck House

A newly built residence for 518 students in cluster flats of five located in Oxford Road , Bournemouth , in the heart of the Lansdowne Campus. Students have a single en-suite study bedroom with internet access and share a fully equipped kitchen/dining/lounge area.

Purbeck House room

A typical room in Purbeck House on the Lansdowne Campus. It has over 500 single en-suite study bedrooms with fully equipped kitchen/dining/lounge area plus internet connection, bicycle storage and launderette.

Lansdowne accommodation

Cranborne and Purbeck Houses are close to one another on the Lansdowne Campus. Both are within ten minutes walk of the train/coach station, the clifftop and beach, or the town centre. Subsidised buses run regularly from here to the Talbot Campus, or you could cycle there in 10-15 minutes.

Christchurch Road

The Lansdowne Campus is close to the Bournemouth town centre, and about five minutes walk from the cliff-top and sea views. It houses its own library and 24-hour access centre, as well as various eateries.

Hurn House

Hurn House is a traditional halls of residence housing 152 students. It is located on the Christchurch Road . There are 18 rooms per floor with shared kitchens, lounge, bathroom and toilets.

Bournemouth House

Home to many of our nursing courses with its own specialist library containing resources for engineering design, nursing, midwifery and health studies, psychology, social sciences, social policy and postgraduate business and management courses.

Bournemouth House Lounge

Shows the student lounge with comfortable seating, vending machines and internet access.

The Old Firestation

The Old Firestation is managed by the Students' Union and is a dedicated nightclub based on the Lansdowne Campus which stages a variety of shows from stand-up comedy to live gigs, cheesy parties and guest DJs - aimed at and run by Bournemouth students.
