When we talk about e–based learning, we are referring to the way in which the World Wide Web can be used to support and enhance learning and teaching in a variety of ways.
At its simplest, it can be used to support the distribution of course materials and to improve access to web–based resources as part of a conventional course.
At more complex levels, it may be adopted to replace elements of a course by delivering content and interaction online. It may be used to improve communication, by encouraging discussion and collaborative learning through e–mail and computer conferencing, or to enhance feedback by means of online assessment activities.
