Bournemouth University, in collaboration with the Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust, will host the First Annual Conference of the University Department of Mental Health (UDMH) on Friday, 10 June, 2011.
This one-day event, entitled Engagement in Life: Promoting Wellbeing in Mental Health, will celebrate the establishment of the UDMH, and mark its aspirations in research, scholarship and education.
A series of invited presentations, including two keynote addresses, will speak to the values of the Department - promoting well-being and engagement in life - and illustrate some of the high quality research and education activities that are already being conducted or planned by members of UDMH and its associates.
“By fostering creative partnerships between academics, health professionals, carers, and people with lived experience of mental health problems, UDMH aims to develop and improve clinical services in this important domain of health care,” said Professor Sue Clarke, Head of the UDMH.
The UDMH Conference ‘Engagement in Life: Promoting Wellbeing in Mental Health’ is scheduled for Friday, 10 June, 2011 at the Executive Business Centre, Bournemouth University.
