A successful collaboration on a tender for a £96,000 contract to provide CPD for NHS South Central Strategic Health Authority. |
The School of Health and Social Care led by Dr. Bernie Edwards and The School of Health and Social Care at Oxford Brookes University led by Dr Ann Ewens have successfully collaborated on a tender for a £96,000 contract to provide CPD for NHS South Central Strategic Health Authority.
The programme is aimed at the development of the community workforce, primarily qualified physiotherapists, occupational therapists and nurses to enhance their skills to support people to stay in their own homes as part of a national and local agenda calling for a shift from secondary to primary care.
South Central SHA is a new organisation formed by a merger of Thames Valley and Hampshire Isle of Wight Health authorities which took place on the 1st of July 2006 as part of the national re-organisation of the NHS. The new region covers a geographical area from the Isle of Wight to Milton Keynes. In light of this large area and the shared expertise within both universities we hope that future opportunities for collaborative tendering will arise.
