OT Week: A Song For OT

OT Week Logo

Why not help us celebrate Occupational Therapy Week by bringing some music
into your life.

We want you to write a song that sings the benefits of Occupational Therapy to health and well-being.

Guidelines

  • The song should last no more than three minutes.
  • The song should be submitted as an mp3 file.
  • Songs must get across the benefits of occupational therapy to health and wellbeing. How they do this is over to you.
  • Songs can be submitted by individuals or groups. Please give your ‘group’ a distinctive name.

Where to Send

Your song should be e-mailed to ot@bournemouth.ac.uk by the 21st November 2008. In the subject body include:

  • Artist/Group Name
  • Song Title
  • Group Member Names
  • E-mail contact
  • Don’t forget to attach your song and a picture of your group (if you are happy for it to be posted on the website).

What happens next

Following the closing date songs will be reviewed by Kirsty Stanley, Lecturer in Occupational Therapy.

Appropriate songs will be added to the website and available for all to enjoy.

Hopefully Occupational Therapists around the country will get to hear your efforts.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer prizes however your prize should be participation in an occupation that is productive and gives you pleasure.

Copyright for the songs (music and lyrics) will remain with the composers (please make sure you have the copyright) but by entering you give Bournemouth University the right to include your song, name and photograph (if submitted) on the website and to allow us to use it in media promotion (newspaper, radio, television) activities.
